Traveling along the Oregon Coast last summer felt like stepping into a living canvas, with stunning landscapes at every turn. On my recent adventure, I explored some iconic spots and hidden gems that made for unforgettable photos. Here’s a look at my favorite locations!

Cannon Beach
I couldn’t start my trip without visiting Cannon Beach. The iconic Haystack Rock was even more magnificent in person, especially at sunset when the colors reflected beautifully on the water. I also loved exploring the nearby tide pools, capturing unique coastal wildlife in the process. It’s a lot less crowded on the weekdays, so definitely recommend going then for stunning pictures!

2. Seaside Beach
Just a short drive from Cannon Beach, I stopped Seaside Beach, known for its charming boardwalk and stunning views. I enjoyed capturing classic beach scenes, from playful waves to beachgoers soaking up the sun. The sunset over the horizon here was breathtaking, providing some of my favorite shots of the trip. If you’re hungry from exploring, stop at Mo’s for amazing fish and chips!

Hug Point
Hug Point was another incredible stop on my journey. The blend of rocky cliffs and sandy beach, along with many surfers, provided a variety of scenes to photograph. I loved capturing the small waterfalls cascading down the rocks and the beautiful sea stacks that rose dramatically from the shore.

God’s Thumb
Hiking 5.5 miles to God’s Thumb was a highlight for me. The panoramic views from the top were absolutely breathtaking, with lush green cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean and we had the trail all to ourselves. The trail was a bit challenging, but reaching the summit during sunrise, made it all worthwhile.

Secret Beach
Last but not least, I ventured to Secret Beach, which felt like a hidden paradise. The secluded cove, with its stunning rock formations(don’t climb them!) and pristine sands, was perfect for capturing serene coastal shots. The contrast of the blue ocean against the rock arches was truly magical, especially during low tide when I could explore more of the beach.

The Oregon Coast is filled with breathtaking spots that inspire creativity. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or just looking to capture memories, these locations are a must-visit!
